Our Mission:

Our mission is to grow the inclusiveness of underserved communities within disc golf by education, advocacy, and providing resources. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the health and wellness benefits of this sport, regardless of their gender, race, age, or socioeconomic status. By working together, we can build a more equitable and diverse disc golf community that fosters physical activity, mental well-being, and social connection. Through our programs and partnerships, we strive to create a culture of inclusiveness and empowerment that inspires individuals and communities to pursue healthy, active lifestyles.

Our History:

Originally formed in 2020, The Florida Hummingbird began as a lady only disc golf tournament. Our inaugural event was postponed due to COVID, however, we were able to successfully organize and run the largest lady only disc golf tournament in the state of Florida in 2021. As our organization grew, so did our goals and ideas of how we could positively impact our community. During 2022, we officially became a 501c3 corporation and have held over 5 separate events, with approximately 600+ participants.
